Songwriting Secrets
Trout Fishing in America stops by the DadLabs studio to play, and to talk about how to create a great kid's song -- ask a kid!
"Day Care Blues"
Produced by the Arkansas Educational Television Network and recorded before a live audience, the My Best Day DVD includes 15 songs on a range of topics, from odes to friends whom we love despite the fact they talk too much, to alien nose invasions and snowflakes named Bob. Three time Grammy Nominees Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet are joined on stage by their friend and producer, Fred Bogert to perform "Day Care Blues", one of Trout Fishing's well known songs. The DVD is available through Troutmusic.com and AETN.org

Something Different
At 23 years old, Keith set an Edna St. Vincent Millay poem to music for piano and soprano. It was never performed and languished in the piano bench for years. Ember Lanuti is a soprano and after hearing her sing, Keith was inspired. He rewrote and revised the piece to fit her lovely voice and Ember decided to include it in her senior recital.
